The bakery where the day's bread is always paid for

A bakery in Durrës, a small sign on the counter and a chain of kindness that hasn't stopped in three months.

It all started when we prepaid 100 loaves at a neighbourhood bakery. The owner, Mrs. Mira, put up a sign: 'If you need it, the bread is paid for.'

Within a week something we didn't expect happened: customers started paying for extra bread for others themselves. Today, the sign is still there.
